Minecraft on Windows 10 will come with Achievements

When they were first introduced by Microsoft, it was impossible to tell just what a big impact Achievements, the gamerscore rewards you get for completing certain activities when connected to Xbox Live,  would have on the way we play. Now, the tech giant has revealed that it is to extend the system to Minecraft when it launches on Windows 10.

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition will launch through the Windows Store on the 29th of July, along with Windows 10 itself, along with Achievements. The news came from Twitter, via Microsoft’s own Mike Ybarra, who said,

What Achievements will be made available is not yet possible to tell, however it is likely that they will involve the soon-to-be-introduced main quest, along with kill counts and resource collection among other things.
