Norton 2013 Public Beta, which includes Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiVirus and Norton 360, has been released and includes support for Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system. Grab it now and start your testing!

Norton 2013 Public Beta has new protection capabilities for Windows 8 that protects those who download and install Metro styled apps. Norton 2013 also features a next generation firewall protection as well as “Insight technology” which improves the ability to detect and block malicious network activity including botnet activity which attempts to steal consumers’ personal information. Norton 2013 also features bandwidth monitoring, which increases intelligence and improved integration with the operating system will help consumers avoid costly data overage fees by limiting non-critical updates on bandwidth sensitive networks.

Once you sign up, you will receive a 14-day Beta Subscription Activation Key. Norton warns that this is still a Beta and that it may “malfunction” so create a backup of crucial files before testing.
