9879

Microsoft has just announced that Windows 10 build 9879 will be the next preview build for Windows Insiders, which means we can expect the build get pushed out to the Technical Preview within the next hour or so. We recommend you start checking for updates now via the PC Settings app.

Windows 10 build 9879 has been covered thanks to a number of screenshot leaks which happened previously. From the screenshots, we know that a number of small changes are coming, such as the option to remove the Task View and Search buttons as well as improvements to the Home tab in File Explorer.

We’re sure Microsoft will post a more in-depth change log as the build starts reaching people, so stay tuned to WinBeta for that. Also, keep an eye on us as we’ll be posting our hands on video of the build very soon.
