Two months ago, we reported that LEGO CITY Undercover, an open-world LEGO adventure game which launched as a Wii U exclusive back in 2013 would finally be released on the Xbox One and Steam in Spring 2017. Yesterday, publisher Warner Bros. shared a new official trailer that you can watch below. Here is the official description:

Join the Chase! This first official trailer for LEGO CITY Undercover introduces Chase McCain, a police officer who goes undercover and dons multiple disguises to hunt down the notorious – and recently escaped – criminal, Rex Fury, to put an end to his city-wide crime wave.

Unlike previous LEGO titles, LEGO City Undercover is not based on popular media franchises but leverages the LEGO City brand in interesting ways. The game features completely original characters and a gameplay inspired by the popular Grand Theft Auto series, though this is obviously a family game where gamers play the good guy. The Wii U version of LEGO City Undercover received good reviews three years ago, so we’re looking forward to see the game being released on more platforms in the coming months.
