Telegram Messenger is not a new name on Windows Phone when it comes to instant messaging apps. Over a month ago, the app dropped the beta tag and it recently picked up another small yet useful update.

The latest Telegram Messenger update brings a new Channels feature which will replace the Broadcast feature in the app. With it, users can broadcast their messages to a wide audience in a better way. Each channel can house unlimited members, have its own permanent URL as well as a view counter.

Telegram said in a blog post,

Today we are introducing Channels, a new tool for broadcasting your messages to large audiences. Channels replace the old Broadcast lists and are better in every way. They can have an unlimited number of members, they can be public with a permanent URL and each post in a channel has its own view counter.

Head over to the Windows Phone store to grab the latest update.
