If you have already opted in to try the new Outlook.com beta, get ready to test a redesigned calendar app in the coming weeks. The Office team teased the new design on Twitter today, adding that the toggle for testing the new UI should roll out soon to everyone:
Calendar is joining the https://t.co/bvoX8XwQjf beta. Keep an eye out for the toggle as we roll it out and let us know what you think: https://t.co/AbpvOweHWi pic.twitter.com/flvPdKF9Hw

As you can see from the above GIF, the new calendar design looks consistent with the Mail section of Outlook.com beta: the web app now uses a new font, and there are links to Mail, Contacts, Tasks, and Photos in the left side bar. The month view also looks to be cleaner and less colorful than before. We’re not seeing a search box anywhere though, and we wonder if it could be hidden in the hamburger menu.
Anyway, we’re looking forward to getting access to the new UI in the coming weeks. Hopefully, the Contacts section of Outlook.com will be the next to receive a fresh coat of paint this year.
