Black Friday may have ended and the shopping fanatics may have calmed down a bit, but now, new data has been revealed and it makes Microsoft very happy. According to Microsoft’s Major Nelson, the Xbox 360 entertainment console has sold over 750,000 consoles in the United States during Black Friday!

This data is tabulated between Sunday November 18th and Friday November 23rd. According to Microsoft’s Major Nelson, the Xbox 360 has sold more than 750,000 consoles in the U.S. alone, which exceeds internal projections. The three month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription sold 50% more compared to last year’s Black Friday. On top of that, there were over 14 million people on Xbox LIVE across the world on Sunday November 18th, which equaled over 72 million hours of use in just one day. Compared to last year’s Black Friday, there was a 43% increase in hours logged on Xbox LIVE during the week of Black Friday. For those that don’t know, Microsoft firmly believes that the Xbox platform is the heart of Microsoft’s shift into becoming a devices and services company. To give you an idea of the success the Xbox has achieved since its launch, the Xbox 360 remains as the number one gaming console for the month of October 2012, which makes it the top gaming console for 22 consecutive months. In fact, the Xbox 360 has sold 270,000 units in October, which is more units than any other console!
