Speaking personally, The Witcher is one of my favorite franchises of all time. It brings together some of the darkest elements of hard fantasy and some of the most whimsical parts of high fantasy – think Game of Thrones meets World of Warcraft. There are many people out there just like me that love the games, and whether it’s the upcoming Netflix series or some other project, people will always look for ways to pay homage to it.
Enter Noclip, a team of indie filmmakers that are looking to add another project to the long line of fan pieces dedicated to The Witcher. The team has recently put a post up on their Patreon announcing that their next project will be a documentary about The Witcher, asking for help from fans of the studio and fans of the franchise.
A video game classic ten years in the making.
Time to oil up your swords friends.

While The Witcher franchise has a long and storied history in the world of print through the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski, this documentary will focus on the game series. Between the story of the series’ development, the artistic direction, and the story of CD Projekt Red itself, Noclip already has a plan in place to put together their latest project. With tons of documentaries already under their belt, there’s’ no doubt that the team will do The Witcher justice.
