Noted by Windows Central, Microsoft’s GroupMe messaging app recently arrived on Xbox One. It’s not exactly certain when Microsoft started supporting GroupMe on the Xbox One, but this still pretty interesting, adding another way for gamers to chat with friends on the console.
You can expect the same features for GroupMe on Xbox that you find on PC, Windows 10 Mobile, HoloLens, iOS, and Andriod platforms. Quite obviously, it’ll also be better if you have an Xbox chat pad for the experience since you won’t have to depend on using the on-screen keyboard for inputting text. Anyway, here’s a look at some features for GroupMe:
- Create and share events with your groups. See who’s coming and who has liked your messages.
- It doesn’t matter if you’re on a computer, at home or out and about — you can stay in touch easily on smartphone or tablet. Whether you’re in class or at the office, GroupMe lets you stay in touch with your favorite people and makes sure you never miss a thing.
- Meme images, find and share GIFs and videos, all right from GroupMe.
- Choose when and what type of notifications you receive. @Mentions help you find messages specifically for you
