Microsoft updates OneNote for Android, adds multi-window support and more

Despite that Microsoft would dearly love for you to become a part of its own mobile operating system ecosystem, it strives to not leave you out either way. With that in mind, the software giant today rolls out a big update for those using OneNote on rival Android.

Included in the latest release is a new share button that allows users to add information from any application to OneNote with one click, a OneNote Recent widget that enables users to quickly access notes from their home screen and Multi-Window support, which allows users to use and view OneNote along with other applications on devices that support Multi-Window mode. The company also notes it “fixed several issues to provide an improved experience overall”

To use the latest OneNote requires you to be running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or newer, which still leaves out a fair number of users, though. as Gingerbread (2.3) still occupies a small amount of the market. It’s a free download, just follow the link below. The app integrates quite well, syncing with your desktop version of OneNote.
