Microsoft today announced Microsoft for Startups, a program which aims to help startups grow their customer base and also gain better access to technology. The company will commit $500 million over the next two years to the program and will offer joint sales engagements with startups, and more.
Under the program, Microsoft will provide the “dedicated resources” necessary to help startup marketing and sales teams sell their solutions to enterprises. Microsoft will also create new community spaces that “promotes collaboration across local and global ecosystems.”
Some other areas and benefits of the program are listed below.
- The program provides startups with up to $120,000 in free Azure credits, enterprise grade technical support and development tools.
- Qualified startups also get access to productivity and business applications, including Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
