Microsoft discontinues Nokia Beta Labs in favor of new UserVoice site, lets you try Lumia Beta apps

In an official announcement on the Nokia Beta Labs website, the company has announced that all new beta trials for Lumia apps will be hosted on a new site powered by UserVoice. Those who are interested can have the opportunity to try out beta versions of apps for Lumia Windows Phone devices and provide feedback to the teams that are directly working on those apps.

“That site will be the new home for beta trials for Lumia apps.  There you will find info about ongoing trials, instructions to install beta apps, and notes about app features and known issues.  And for each beta app there is a feedback forum where you can give feedback about the apps, vote on others’ feedback, and interact with the teams developing the apps,” the company stated in an official announcement.

The Nokia Beta Labs website will be shut down on September 5th and all links to betalabs.nokia.com will be redirected to the new site at UserVoice. Microsoft has made this switch so they can focus on what is most important — being able to gather feedback and interacting with those who are testing the apps.

Currently, you can participate in a beta program for the Nokia Camera app, as well as Nokia Chat, App Social, and Nokia Conference. Want to make Nokia Camera on Windows Phone a fantastic app? Join the program and offer your feedback!
