Nokia 225 feature phone announced, ships in Q2

Nokia has announced yet another low-priced entry level feature phone, Nokia 225. It is a basic internet-enabled handset. Nokia says that it aims to bring internet enabled devices to more consumers. The phone will also have a dual-SIM variant.

The phone sports a 2.8-inch display and comes with five popular apps pre-installed. Nokia is touting the internet capability of the phone. “Our slimmest Internet phone to date, it also features a larger 2.8” display making it not only an ideal fit for pockets and handbags, but for also keeping you entertained on the move,” writes Nokia.

The company says the phone is durable, sports a dust and splash proof keypad. Its battery is said to last 36-days on standby while the dual-sim version will keep the device running for 27 days. The handset comes in 5 different colors – red, yellow, green, black, and white.

The phone boasts of apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Nokia’s Xpress browser. It also has a few games like Asphalt 6, Block Breaker 3, Assassins Creed 3, The Avengers, and Real Football 2012, which will keep you engaged. You can also use the phone for listening to songs, whereas, the memory can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The phone will become available in select market in Q2 2014, with an estimated retail price of EUR 39.
