Microsoft brings Clipchamp video tool to Microsoft 365 commercial customers

Microsoft announces that its popular video creation tool, which last year rebranded and released a fancy Fluent-design inspired logo, Clipchamp, will now be available to Microsoft 365 commercial customers through the Targeted release program. Previously only accessible with personal Microsoft accounts, this expansion aims to enhance business productivity and creativity.

Clipchamp offers a user-friendly web-based interface, empowering users to create professional-looking videos without prior experience. Similar to how Microsoft Word and PowerPoint revolutionized document creation and presentations, Clipchamp aims to make video production accessible to everyone.

The integration of Clipchamp into Microsoft 365 means users can seamlessly create, edit, and share videos within their existing workflow. It allows easy importing of media from OneDrive, webcam, and screen recording, eliminating the need for additional downloads.

The video editor features a drag-and-drop interface and a multitrack editing timeline, enabling precise video, images, text, and audio adjustments. Clipchamp supports centralized security and controls to ensure the safety of user data and organization.

Clipchamp allows users to personalize their videos for professional and engaging presentations by incorporating filters, effects, text overlays, and transitions. The green screen filter also enables users to customize backgrounds per their context and environment.

Clipchamp’s forthcoming availability for commercial customers in the Targeted release program is scheduled for the end of August 2023. IT administrators can opt-in for their organizations to access this feature. Microsoft encourages users to provide feedback during this release phase to further improve the Clipchamp experience.

With this update, Microsoft is committed to streamlining video creation for professionals, opening new possibilities for marketing, client presentations, employee training, and effective business communication.
