Lumia 830

On October 8th, the Lumia 830 will be available to customers in Canada on the carrier Rogers. If you want it off-contract, you can get it for $400, while it is free on a two year contract.

If you’re looking for a phone off contract, this is a pretty appealing deal, and even undercuts the Nexus 5’s $500 off-contract price label. Specs wise, you’re getting a 5-inch, 1280 x 720, 720p display to view the pictures you take with your 10 megapixel PureView camera with Optical Image Stabilization. Under the hood, it is powered by a Quad-core 1.2GHz, Snapdragon 400 processor. The specs are a compromise, but so is the price.

Mobilesyrup, a Canadian mobile blog, predicts the phone to hit Rogers’ Smart Pick Plans. This is the carriers affordable package, and has a $10 discount on most of the mobile plans.
