LINE for Windows Phone picks up an update, introduces video calling support, and more

LINE for Windows Phone picks up an update, introduces video calling support, and more

There’s no shortage of instant-messaging apps, but if you happen to be a regular user of LINE on your Windows Phone handset, there’s a piece of good news for you. The app give users the ability to get in touch with their friends and family, and send messages, make free voice calls, The app picked up an update, bumping it to version 3.9.0.611 and introduces some much requested features for the app.

With the latest update, users will be able to make video calls to their friends. However, to make use of this feature, you must be on Windows Phone 8/8.1 — sorry WP7 users. Here’s a list of changes the latest update has to offer to LINE Windows Phone users:

  • Video calling feature supported (OS 8.0, 8.1)

  • Added Italian language support
  • \n

  • Bug fixes and performance improvements
  • \n
