Latest update for Outlook on Android lets you block external images

Microsoft has updated Outlook on Android with the ability to block external images in emails. Though it’s a small update, this feature further puts users in control of their privacy and can help stop the tracking of whether or not an email has been read (via Android Police.)

The option for this new feature can be found by tapping on the settings gear on the hamburger menu and then tapping on the account for where you want it enabled. Please be aware that this setting will not block images that are embedded in the email sent as attachments. See it in action below.

This update also introduces the usual performance fixes and bug fixes, so it’s definitely not one to miss. Previous updates for Outlook on Android have introduced the new search experience and navigation bar. You can grab this update now by checking the link below. Once you’ve updated feel free to let us know in the comments if you’re liking the new ability to block external images.
