Only IT Security Software Developer to Feature in the Sunday Times Top Track 250

Abingdon, UK, 19 October 2010 – Security software provider Kaspersky Lab has been placed 140th in its debut appearance in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250. The high placement in the list of top mid-market private companies, is a result of Kaspersky Lab’s high sales figures in 2009, making it the only IT security software developer in the list.

Kaspersky Lab’s high levels of growth have seen its turnover rise from £29m in 2006 to £210.5m in 2009. This success is demonstrated by its position as one of the top ten firms according to operating-profit margins.

“We are very proud to have appeared in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, especially as this follows our appearance in the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100. We have grown very quickly, and this is as a result of the quality of our technology,” explains Malcolm Tuck, managing director of Kaspersky Lab UK. “With some big launches on the horizon, we are confident that we’ll maintain our success and appear in the top 250 once again.”

Kaspersky Lab will continue its successful year with the launch of new products for the consumer, SMB and enterprise sectors. These solutions will complement Kaspersky Lab’s existing range of anti-virus, anti-spam and internet security products.
