Microsoft has just revealed that after 22 consecutive months, the Xbox 360 is still the number one gaming console for the month of October 2012. In fact, the Xbox 360 has sold 270,000 units in October, which is more units than any other console!

According to Microsoft, the Xbox 360 has sold 270,000 units in October, which is more than any other console out in the market. Not only that, the Xbox 360 also held a 56% share of current generation console sales in the United States. Total retail spending, which includes hardware, software, and accessories, on the Xbox 360 platform in October reached $315 million dollars. Apparently, this equates to more money spent on Xbox 360 products than Nintendo or Sony’s consoles combined. With Halo 4 just launching on Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE celebrating its 10 year anniversary on the 15th of November, Microsoft is set to continue its winning streak in the console market.
