There have been some performance issues with Bing Image Creator after adding DALL-E 3, resulting in longer wait times for users to generate images. Several users on X have reported significant delays, with some waiting over two hours to create their images.

Mikhail Parakhin, the head of Microsoft’s Windows and Web Services team, acknowledged the problem and expressed surprise at the level of interest in DALL-E 3 within Bing Image Creator. He mentioned that Microsoft is actively working on a solution and plans to address the issue by adding more GPUs to improve processing speed. Parakhin suggested adding “thousands of H100-equivalent” GPUs, suggesting a substantial hardware upgrade to meet the increased demand.

Folks, we know DALL-E 3.0 generation right now is taking longer than normal. We expected some strong interest, but we didn't expect THAT much, especially given it's a weekend. Bringing more GPUs in, will be better soon.

It’s clear that Microsoft is aware of the problem and is taking steps to resolve it promptly, as they understand the importance of providing a smoother and faster experience for their users.
