Moments ago, the Nokia Lumia 930 was announced, which is more like the Lumia Icon for the rest of the world. As rumored before, Nokia isn’t done yet and announced their entry-level Nokia Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 at the Build conference in San Francisco. Dive in to know more about the handsets. The devices are aiming to replace the Nokia Lumia 520, which managed to grab the crown of the best-selling Windows Phone device last year.
The Nokia Lumia 630 and 635 rocks a 4.5-inch display, sporting a resolution of 854 x 400 and are powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset with a clock speed of 1.2GHz. They will hit retail in an array of colors, with changeable covers similar to the Lumia 525. So, you must be wondering about the differences between the two? Well, the Nokia Lumia 630 comes with dual-SIM and 3G support, while the Nokia Lumia 635 brings 4G LTE connectivity on board at a very impressive price.
At the media event, Stephen Elop announced that Nokia Lumia 630 and 635 will be the first devices running Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system, and will hit the retail shelves in may, starting with Asia, Russia, China, India and Europe. The users in the US might have to wait a little bit as it’s expected to land in the States this summer. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Nokia Lumia single-SIM will be priced around $159, while the dual-SIM version will come with a $169 price tag. As far as the 4G-enable Nokia Lumia 635 is concerned, it will cost $189.
