Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy and Magic Duels let you build decks and battle friends on the Xbox One

Two popular trading card games have received new video game versions on the Xbox One. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist and Magic Duels (Magic: The Gathering) are now available for purchase. Major Nelson announced both Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy and Magic Duels in separate posts. Both games arrive today.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist you can create your own deck or use other game modes to face other duelists including players around the globe through online gameplay. There are also add-ons you can purchase that add duels to the Campaign and Challenge modes and have premade decks. The add-ons are from multiple versions of the show including Duelist Kingdom, GX, and Zexal. Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy costs $19.99 with each expansion pack costing $4.99. You also have an option to try it out for free.

Magic Duels is a comprehensive Magic: The Gathering Game that will help both veteran and newer users hone their skills thanks to multiple modes including Skill Quest. You can create your own deck and play friends and AI opponents. To build your deck there are collectible cards and earnable content. In their game description they advertise long gameplay thanks to regular updates “Enjoy virtually endless gameplay with regular card and content updates, quests and achievements, multiple play modes… and fully earnable content.” Magic Duels is free, an unbeatable price unless they’re going to pay you to play it.

Both of these games offer a way for trading card enthusiasts to play more opponents and use cards in their decks that they may not be able to collect in person.
