Doctor Who meets Xbox One through Kinect Sports

One thing that is almost universally loved by the technology and geek community is Doctor Who. The long-running British show ranks up there with Star Trek and other legends of the genre. Of course, given the media options available with Microsoft’s new Xbox One, you can certainly watch the series on the console, but how about if David Tennant talked to you while you played a game?

That is exactly what you can expect when Kinect Sports Rivals hits retail shelves next month. “Tennant will talk players through the process of creating their champion — a stylized, digital version of themselves that will be their representative in every competition against their friends, rivals and the world”, states Microsoft’s Suzanne Choney.

The game is set to debut in North America, Australia and New Zealand on April 8th, while Europe has to wait a slight bit longer — a delay until April 11th is on the schedule. The good news is that, as of now, potential game customers and rabid show fans can get an idea of what to expect by watching a preview video shot as Tennant worked on voicing the game. You can check it out below.
