Afterlight Photo editing app dances around Universal app territory

While the app gap continues to be a sore spot for the story of Windows on mobile, one thing is for sure, neither app stores are hurting in the photo editing app department. Both the Windows Phone and Windows Stores account for over 150 different photo editing apps.

With that being said, it looks like photo editing app Afterlight is looking to get a head start on the true meaning of universal apps by bringing it’s app across stores. While Afterlight has yet to dawn the official Universal Apps signage, the app developers are making an effort to keep the same rich functionality in line with their Windows Phone offering.

The Windows Store offering is just as quick and straight forward as image editing tool in the Windows Phone Store. Users can customize photos by adding frames and wallpapers with the 79 different simplistic and adjustable frames provided by Afterlight. In addition to adjustment tools and frames, there are over 15 different presets for cropping, 57 different filters, and over 66 different textures to manipulate.

All of this can be had for the low cost of .99 cents. You can grab the app from the download link below.
