Gamescom 2022 is just a few weeks away, running from Wednesday, August 24 through Sunday, August 28. The event will be held once again in Cologne, Germany. And once again, Xbox will have a presence there…only this time it will be a live one.

That’s right: Gamescom 2022 will be live and in-person (as well as online for those who can’t attend)! For the first time since 2019, Xbox will be able to have live booth at the event—in Hall 8 of the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre, to be precise. The booth will include 36 stations offering hands-on time with some of the most anticipated games coming to Xbox in the next 12 months.

Playable titles will include Pentiment, Age of Empires IV, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded from Xbox Game Studios. And from third-party publishers the following,

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem (Asobo Studio/Focus Entertainment)
  • Disney Dreamlight Valley (Gameloft)
  • Gunfire Reborn (Duoyi Games/505 Games)
  • Inkulinati (Yaza Games/Daedalic Entertainment)
  • Last Case of Benedict Fox (Plot Twist Games/Rogue Games)
  • Lies of P (Neowiz)
  • Lightyear Frontier (Frame Break)
  • Planet of Lana (Wishfully/Thunderful)
  • You Suck at Parking (Happy Volcano)

Visitors to the Xbox booth will also be able to get hands-on with the new Xbox App for 2022 Samsung Smart TVs. And if all this isn’t enough to get you on a flight to Cologne, well then…you’ll still be able to attend digitally. Xbox will host a live stream event starting on Thursday, August 25. Follow all the Xbox social media channels to get more info on viewing details as they become available.

And for those who can attend, there will be a special after hours booth event as part of Xbox [email protected]. Held on Wednesday, August 24, the event will include a meet & greet with game creators. And on Friday there will be a virtual meet & greet with Sea of Thieves and Park Beyond via Microsoft Teams, which anyone can join in.

Gamescom 2022 promises to be an exciting celebration of gaming, and one you don’t want to miss whether in person or online.
