A few months back, Microsoft announced that they will release Xbox One in Japan on September 4th, that’s about 10 months after it launched in the US and 12 other “first tier” countries. Gamers in Japan can buy it for 39,980 yen ($392) for the console and 49,980 yen ($490) bundled with the Kinect. Microsoft announced this week that 29 titles will be available for the console when it arrives.

The list is as follows;

Microsoft

  • Crimson Dragon
  • Dead Rising 3
  • Forza Motorsport 5
  • LocoCycle
  • Halo: Spartan Assault
  • Killer Instinct
  • Kinect Sports Rivals
  • Max: The Curse of Brotherhood
  • Powerstar Golf
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Zoo Tycoon

Bethesda

  • Wolfenstein: The New Order

Capcom

  • Strider

CyberStep

  • Onigiri

Electronic Arts

  • Battlefield 4
  • FIFA 14
  • Need for Speed Rivals
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
  • Titanfall

Konami

  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Square Enix

  • Call of Duty: Ghosts
  • Murdered: Soul Suspect
  • Thief
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

Tecmo Koei

  • Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate

Ubisoft

  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Child of Light
  • Trials Fusion
  • Zumba Fitness World Party

What do you have to say about this line-up? Lackluster or are these great for the launch? — Yes, there are a few games that Japanese gamers wouldn’t hesitate in buying like Konami: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but what about the rest?
