Microsoft today announced that Xbox Live Gold members can play Tom Clancy’s The Division for free this weekend. The standard edition of the title will be available for free download in the Xbox Store starting Starting at 12:01 AM PDT Thursday, May 4 and will be free until 11:59 PM PDT Sunday, May 7th.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is set in the post-pandemic streets of Manhattan and allows you to team up with other players (or go solo) to take on roving gangs of criminals, and zealots. The ultimate goal is to take back New York and rescue civilians, and also collect rare and powerful loot. You’ll also be able to venture into the Dark Zone to attack or ally with other players as you compete to grab the best loot.

Those who would like to keep their progress and buy the game after playing after May 7th can purchase the game at a 60% discount from the Xbox Store between May 4 – 15 (May 4–8 for non-gold members.) Will you be taking advantage of this offer or play for free this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.
