Wolfram Alpha releases 7 new Math Course Assistant Apps

In November, Wolfram Alpha was released to Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 as a universal app. Thankfully for Windows and Windows Phone owners, you do not have to pay for it twice. Purchase it once on your Windows 8.1 PC, Windows tablet or Windows Phone device and it is available to download on all other your Windows devices for free.

Wolfram Alpha has many subject areas to choose from; like Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering. All those subject areas were terrifying to me in college, and I still avoid them to this day (I still use my Windows Phone’s Calculator app just to figure out what to tip). I would have settled for easier college courses (I wish these courses existed), which Wolfram Alpha provides course assistants for; Sports & Games, Dates & Times, and Colors.

The Wolfram Alpha app can help you solve any math problems you may encounter in high school or college, but when you need to know step-by-step instructions on how to solve those problems, Wolfram just released seven new Math Course Assistant apps. The Math Course Assistant apps are:

  • Pre-Algebra Course Assistant
  • Algebra Course Assistant
  • Linear Algebra Course Assistant
  • Precalculus Course Assistant
  • Calculus Course Assistant
  • Multivariable Calculus Course Assistant
  • Linear Algebra Course Assistant
  • Statistics Course Assistant

Although I do not understand what most of the equations that these Math Course Assistant apps help you learn to solve, from what I can see it looks like it covers all sorts of equations that someone from high school may encounter, all the way up to the college level.

Remember, you only have to buy each Math Course Assistant app once, either on Windows Phone or your Windows 8.1 device, and it will be available for download for your other Windows (Phone) devices free. I prefer the apps on the Windows Phone, because I like the portability and it might be easier to use if you are using your Windows PC or tablet for other more important coursework. If you choose to download these Math Course Assistant apps to another Windows 8.1-compatible device, the option is always available for free. So check out the download links below!
