Planning a romantic getaway in Miami? Need to spend some face time with your mother-in-law in Jersey? If you’re on a budget and a flight is in your future plans, you might want to try using the Skyscanner app when planning your next trip.

The app, which is free and available for Windows 8, Windows RT, and Windows Phone 8, is set up in the typical metro style and is easy to use. Simply type in your destination, choose the number of people flying, select your departure and return dates, and tap or right click on Search; and Skyscanner will compare over 1000 airlines to find you the cheapest airfare for the dates you want to travel.

The app also displays a list of cheap flights originating from your current or designated location. After you find the flight you want and tap or right click to book it, Skyscanner will connect you to the website of the Airline you’ve chosen so that you can complete your purchase. And to make a good thing better, Skyscanner does not charge a fee for its service.

So, there you have it, Skyscanner, when you want to travel cheaply, it’s in the Windows Store, check it out!
