Windows Phone app highlights: Bugs vs Tanks, Real Steel World Robot Boxing, and Pylon

In today’s Windows Phone app highlight post, we are going to showcase three apps that were sent to us by their respective developers or from Windows Phone lovers. All three apps are free and offer great entertainment!

Real Steel World Robot Boxing (free) – “Fans of the smash hit Real Steel with 10 Millions Downloads comes next version with More Robots, More Action and More Fun! Real Steel World Robot Boxing packs bigger punches, harder-hitting battles, and double the action of its predecessor Reel Steal with better graphics, brand new robots, more modes and head-to-head multiplayer. In the not-so-distant future where boxing is taken to the extreme, people and robots synch up for a larger-than-life entertainment experience. Pilot a bot-crushing behemoth and jab, uppercut and haymaker your way to victory!” the app description reads.

This game is the sequel to the original Real Steel game, offering twenty-four mean machines like Zeus, Atom and Twin Cities. You can brawl as Touchdown, HollowJack, Blockbuster, Biowar, and more. This game was recently made available to the Windows Phone Store.

Bugs vs Tanks (free) – Next up is Bugs vs Tanks. This free game features onscreen thumbstick controls that allow you to control your tank as you destroy bugs. “Bugs vs. Tanks is a war game, a survival horror shooter which let you play as a tank commander who has been mysteriously shrunk down to insect size. You will fight against an endless swam of terrifying insects. Surely that’s everybody’s idea of fun!” the app description reads.

As you progress though the game, the levels become harder and much more challenging. There are eighteen unique bugs including giant ants and spiders. You can even submit your score to an online global leaderboard or your country leaderboard and compete with players from around the world.

This app was just made available to the Windows Phone Store.

Pylon (free) – This app fuses lightning fast Hack ‘n Slash combat with tactical gameplay and is a story-driven, fantasy Action RPG game. “Adventure into mysterious lands, battle dangerous monsters and collect heaps of epic loot! Explore the world of Pylon, a classic and robust Action RPG! Enjoy fluid combat, diverse abilities and a variety of expansive environments packed with creatures, treasure and more,” the app description reads.

The expansive environment features different creates, treasures, and more. You can switch between three different classes with the same character, or create a hybrid class with custom skills and abilities.

“Equip and wield a variety of Weapons and Armor, each with different uses in gameplay. Duel-wield wands and swords, heft a shield or smash enemies with huge maces! Socket magical armors with powerful gems loaded with countless combinations of bonuses and enhancements,” the app description adds. This app looks great and is quite fun, if you enjoy Action RPG games.

Grab the apps and let us know what you think about them!
