Microsoft has just released another new Windows 11 Insider build for the Dev Channel, bumping the version number up to 25236. With the new build, Microsoft is “trying out different ways to provide tips on how to use Windows Search via the taskbar.” Apparently moving the Search Box / Search icon all over everywhere, removing it and bringing it back again in a hodgepodge of iterations has people confused as to how it works. Go figure. Anyway, expect to see some tooltips on how to get to Search in Windows 11.

Along with that important effort, there are a number of fixes to Narrator, the Taskbar and System Tray, File Explorer, Settings and more to be aware of, make sure to check out the blog post for all the details.

With the announcement for the new build also comes news of more improvements to the Microsoft Store. Version 2210.1401.x of the app includes a more streamlined way to discover “digital attach offers” that came with your new Windows 11 PC, allowing you to more easily redeem offers for the likes of Office, Game Pass, and or standalone games. In addition, scrolling has been improved for search card results “to provide a much smoother scrolling and resizing experience – especially on low powered devices.”
