The Windows team has once again pressed its Big Red Button on the release of another Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build. The new release marks build 10586.122 and is a cumulative update that may require a bit of workaround to obtain. According to the Windows team, this new build release is intended for Slow and Release Preview Rings. However, those on the Fast Ring can manually push this update to their devices.
Windows Insiders with devices on the Fast ring which are not yet receiving updates from the Development Branch would need to temporarily switch to the Slow or Release Preview rings if they want to receive this build.”
Beyond branch hopping, the new release will once again address feedback and fixes more than implementing any new features. Also, the new release signals the first mention of extending the preview program to new devices since summer 2015.
We are also adding support for four additional devices on the Current Branch for Insiders receiving today’s update: MCJ Madosma Q501, BLU Win HD W510U, BLU Win HD LTE X150Q, and ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce XL.”
As usual, the Windows team is looking to hear back from as many willing and able testers, so please take the time to offer your feedback, it might just help speed up this update process.
Happy downloading, Insiders!
