Will Microsoft unveil Crackdown 3 at E3 gaming show?

Later today, in just a couple of hours, in fact, Microsoft will hold court in Los Angeles at the E3 show. While we have received some hints about what will will be revealed, we certainly do not know everything. The company no doubt has some surprises in store.

One of those may just be the unveiling of Crackdown 3. That is, if gaming publication Develop is to be believed.  Few details are offered, but this is still not a total surprise. Microsoft did mention this a year ago in announcing the Xbox One.

Gaming site CVG pointed out a statement made by Microsoft’s Phil Spencer. “The homage to Crackdown in the [May 21 event] reveal screenshots was… I know there was some, like, ‘Did we accidentally sneak that…?’ It wasn’t accidental. Definitely”, Spencer stated.

Release date and platform is uncertain at this point. It seems likely that it will be for Xbox One, but a 360 version is not out of the question. We should know a lot more later today.
