Verizon releases a software update for the HTC One M8 for Windows

Not too long ago, Verizon started rolling out the highly anticipated Windows Phone 8.1 update for a number of its handsets, including the Lumia 822 and 928 — Lumia Icon users are requested to wait until early 2015 for the update, which is a bummer.

However, the Big Red has also started rolling out a small update for the HTC One M8 for Windows, featuring a few bug fixes and improvements to boost the performance of the handset.
Here’s the complete change log for the latest update:

  • Softcard Payment Support (May require download from Windows Phone store)
  • Resolved an issue where the phone was intermittently not able to power on
  • Fixed the copy/paste functionality at the time of Xbox account sign in
  • Improved stability to prevent the phone from rebooting on its own

The update is rolling out as we speak so you should get the notification soon. It seems Verizon is on a roll today — but come one, Lumia Icon to get an update in 2015? Really?
