4 Unilever, one of the world’s leading Home Care, Personal Care, Nutrition, Beauty and Wellbeing suppliers, recently completed its complex migration to Microsoft’s Azure Cloud services to help support the company’s 3.4 billion active daily users.

In a press release yesterday, Microsoft highlighted its partnership with Accenture, a global 3rd party digital support company, which helped the company facilitate Unilever’s 148,000 employee base switch to Azure Cloud Services in just over 18 months.

The move to Azure Cloud Services for Unilever is intended to help the company “accelerate product launches,” enhance customer service,” and “improve operational efficiency.” Beyond the corporate boilerplate lingo, Unilever would like specifically take advantage of utilizing industrial metaverse technologies to power its insights and predictions, AI to help forecast and adapt to market changes, expand its automation programs and reduce its own carbon footprint in the process through a new program called Green Cloud Advisor.

The creation of an agile, high-performing digital core that delivers greater efficiency will provide Unilever with increased computing power to explore new ways of working. Unilever’s adoption of a cloud-only approach will significantly improve business resilience, strengthening security and enhancing control of the IT landscape.

Unilever joins hundreds of businesses that are leveraging Microsoft’s Azure Cloud services to build out their own end-to-end digitization platforms for automation, quick innovations, and reimagining lines of business.
