UC Browser for Windows Phone 8 updated, brings along background downloads and more

UC Browser, an app that is being touted as the best internet browser for Windows Phone, has received a big update over the weekend. Of the new features that have been added, Windows Phone users can now enjoy background downloads.

“UC Browser is a leading mobile internet browser with more than 400 million users across more than 150 countries and regions. This product is currently available in 11 different languages on all major operating platforms,” UCWeb stated on their official product website. For those of you who want an alternative to Internet Explorer on Windows Phone 8, this browser might just be what you have been looking for.

With this new update, you can keep the downloads going even when you exit out of the browser. You can also categorize your downloads and get quick access to your downloaded videos. The update also provides smoother reading of paged websites with next pages being preloaded.

The app is free and has had over 19,000 reviews, with the majority of them being nearly five stars. Hit the download link below to snag the app.

Thanks for the tip, @WPScoops
