The popular third party YouTube app Tubecast just hit a milestone of 1,000,000 downloads on the Windows platform. Publisher Webrox announced reaching the 1,000,000 mark on Twitter and thanked everyone who uses Tubecast across the Windows platform.

As reported earlier, Tubecast became a Universal app in late July. With the update users can now use the same app on either a Windows Phone or Windows PC to cast YouTube videos on: Smart TVs, Chromecast, AirPlay, Google TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, DLNA, Internet box, Xbox One & 360, PS3 & PS4.

Other features listed for Tubecast include:

  • 4k(2160p) QHD(1440p) Full HD (1080p) SD (480p) 60fps
  • Download Youtube videos (Pause and Resume)
  • Play the sound of the video under lock
  • Login to your Youtube account and use all the features (subscribe, watch later, history, my videos, subscribers…)
  • Play 360° videos via our gateway app “Video 360”

If you are looking for a good alternative means for viewing YouTube on Windows or Windows Phone, grab the app from the download link below.

Tubecast reached 1,000,000 downloads today on windows platforms. Thank you everyone :). http://t.co/wumKhXZMMVpic.twitter.com/vvrzyUcJfv
