Tubecast's univerasal app updated with bug fixes

While Windows Phone has suffered from an “app gap,” third party developers have stepped in to provide great alternatives where bigger names have not, sometimes offering more features than the services they replicate from other platforms. As Google continues to not provide YouTube app for Windows Phone, Tubecast has become a popular and feature rich alternative for streaming video and audio from YouTube across multiple devices.

The universal app is capable of casting YouTube videos across Smart TVs, Chromecast, AirPlay, Google TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, DLNA, Internet box, Xbox One & 360, PS3 & PS4, while allowing you to login to your YouTube account and access all of your personalized content.

Tubecast’s universal app received a now live update to address a bug in the live tile’s background agent as well as fixing a big with video download on Windows 8.1 PCs. The app is now available as version 3.2.81 for Windows Phone and version 1.4.0.1 for Windows 8.1 and can be downloaded from either the Windows Phone or Window Store.
