Specter, a third-party Snapchat app for Windows 10 Mobile has received a minor, yet important update.

With the latest update, you will now be able to post to your Snapchat Story, rather than just viewing other peoples’ or sending messages; the changelog for the update reads:

\

Posting to my day implemented

\

‘My day’ is the name that Specter associates with Snapchat Story, and this update brings the app to version 1.6.0. It is a Universal Windows app, with the app currently supporting the following device families:

    \

  • PC/Tablet
  • \

  • Windows 10 Mobile
  • \

  • HoloLens
  • \

  • Surface Hub

As it is a third-party client, there is a chance that your Snapchat account could be suspended, as it is against their terms to use third-party clients, however, Snapchat appears to be less prone to suspending accounts recently, although it does still happen from time-to-time. There are also rumours, with some evidence, that Snapchat is building its own app for Windows 10 Mobile.
