There's #moreLumia to look forward to at Nokia's April 2 event

Microsoft’s Build developer conference is now just over a week away and excitement is mounting about what we’re going to learn there. Nokia is keeping excitement levels high by sending out press invites to an event in San Francisco to learn more about… well… we’re not exactly certain yet. But we do know that there is #moreLumia involved.

April is the month in which the Nokia and Microsoft partnership should finally reach its conclusion and there are sure to be some interesting announcements to look forward to. “Boy, have we got some treats lined up for you,” teases Nokia.

The use of the #moreLumia hashtag gives everyone a way to keep up with the latest announcements via Twitter but it’s fairly safe to bet that we’ll see at least a couple of new handsets — Moneypenny, Goldfinger and Martini are names that have been thrown about for a little while now, and perhaps we’ll find out what the James Bond connection is.

As Microsoft is widely expected to take the wraps of Windows Phone 8.1 (or Blue as it has been known), it’s likely we’ll hear about handsets that make the best of the operating system’s newest features.

Oh, and take a look at the Nokia Conversations website. The animated graphic — in which the ‘O’ of ‘more’ is constantly replaced with new graphics — could be a cryptic clue about what to expect.

Watch this space and we’ll tell you more as details emerge!
