System glitch charges $5 for EA UFC and FIFA 14 demos on Xbox One

The demos of EA UFC and FIFA 14 have suddenly started charging people. Both the demos were previously available for free but they are now priced at $4.99 on Xbox One.

However, the $5 price tags will soon be removed and the games will again become available for free. The sudden hike in price is due to a system glitch, EA Australia told Polygon.

The error was an Xbox One exclusive, it seems. The company has said that if PlayStation Network also was charging money, then it has already been rectified.

EA Sports UFC hit Xbox One last month, whereas the FIFA 14 demo has been available since last September.

The error was first spotted by a NeoGAF member. You can read the hilarious reactions by members of NeoGAF community on this thread.
