According to a report from MSPoweruser, Microsoft has released a new firmware update for the Surface Pro 3. At the moment, though, it is not certain what the firmware update changes as there is no changelog currently available.
The firmware update is reported as version 3.11.2350, and there is no current notice on the Surface Pro 3 Update History page. This is not unusual, and you can expect Microsoft to release the changelog soon. As always, once it is released we will update this post accordingly.
The last firmware update for the Surface Pro 3 came in October of 2017, then focused on improving Battery Life and fixing Connected Standby issues. Microsoft also released firmware updates for the Surface Pro 4 last month, mainly focused on addressing the Spectre and Meltdown security issues.
Originally released back in 2014, the Surface Pro 3 still is a solid 2-in-1 device. Do you still have a Surface Pro 3? If so, let us know if you’ve installed this latest update and noticed any changes by dropping us a comment in the section below.
