Microsoft has released a new firmware update for its Surface Laptop Go devices. The new bits bring improvements for battery life, graphics stability, and more.

For the owners of a Surface Laptop Go, the latest batch of firmware updates is available for PCs running Windows 10 version 2004 (20H1) or newer. Here’s what you should be seeing in Windows Update:

  • Intel Corporation – Display – 27.20.100.9621: Intel(R) UHD Graphics – Display
  • Intel Corporation Ext – 27.20.100.9621: Intel(R) UHD Graphics – Extension
  • Surface – Surface System Management – 3.140.139.0: Surface SMF – Surface System Management

As always, the December 2021 firmware update is rolling out to all Surface Laptop Go users in phases, so you may not get the new firmware updates right away. In case you missed it, Microsoft has also released new updates for Surface Pro 8 and Surface Book 2 devices with performance and stability improvements.
