Surface Hub is now available for pre-order

When it was originally debuted by Microsoft, one thing was apparent about the Surface Hub, it was unlike almost anything before it. With an enormous screen and a theoretically limited appeal, it certainly hasn’t managed to ignite the popular consciousness quite to the same degree at HoloLens.

Yet, for a certain kind of person, having an enormous smart screen offers a number of potential benefits, especially for the boardroom. And now that device is available for pre-order, they can indulge. It won’t exactly be an impulse purchase however, coming in at $6,999 for the 55 inch version and $19,999 for the 84 inch model. Due to the large size of the devices, it has been necessary to manufacture them in the USA.

It is expected that the Surface Hub will begin shipping to 24 countries in September. It is expected that the device will be able to interact with other Microsoft hardware, and software from other ecosystems.
