Surface Duo gets security improvements with November 2021 update – onmsft.com

Microsoft has started rolling out a new firmware update for the Surface Duo, its dual-screen phone powered by Android. The latest release brings November Android security patches for Surface Duo users.

The April 2021 update will bump up the latest Surface Duo software version to 2021.314.91 in North America and 2021.1019.26 in Europe. However, the owners of the AT&T version of the dual-screen device should receive version 2021.1019.25.

The November 2021 firmware update is rolling out for the Surface Duo 1. One of these days it will be more than a security patch… One of these days…

To download and install the update, Surface Duo owners will need to tap Settings >> System >> System update >> Check for update. Meanwhile, users that own the second-generation Surface Duo might have to wait slightly longer to receive the November 2021 update.
