The Microsoft Devices Blog has just posted a 60 second (well, technically 50 second) video to let new Windows Phone users know about the phone’s Live Tiles and how they can be used with the Spotify streaming music Windows Phone app to pin Spotify playlists directly onto a Windows Phone’s Start Screen.
All a user has to do is browse to a playlist, press the three dot menu in the upper-right corner of the app and then click “Pin to Start”. As you can see in the video, adding a Spotify playlist Live Tile is fairly simple though it’s easy to understand why they chose to highlight this feature as a lot of casual users may not have even noticed the small three dot menu option within the app and for anyone coming over to Windows Phone from iOS or Android, the entire Live Tile concept is completely new.
Personally I love Live Tiles on my Windows Phone and Surface Pro and find them to be one of my favorite features of modern Windows devices. Do you use Live Tiles often? Let us know in the comments below.
