Microsoft is continuing to service the Windows 10 May 2020 Update ahead of its global rollout in the coming weeks. The featured update is currently available for both Slow Ring and Release Preview Insiders, but the freshly-released build 19041.208 is only available in the Slow ring for now.
I asked Brandon Leblanc from the Windows Insider team why this new patch isn’t available in the Release Preview ring, and he answered that “We’re testing the update in the Slow ring first before rolling it out to Release Preview.” Anyway, this new patch includes the same fixes already present in the previous build 19041.207 released last week, as well as an additional fix for an issue that fails to send NPLogonNotify API notifications from the credential provider framework.
However, the previously known issue causing some trouble for Narrator and NVDA users in the new Chromium-based Edge persists in this build. Slow Ring and Release Preview Insiders will likely receive more minor patches for the May 2020 Update in the coming weeks before Microsoft starts to roll it out to Windows 10 users.
