As everyone is doing their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Microsoft found a way to help gamers give back just by playing games on their Xbox One. We already know that Xbox One owners can use their Microsoft Rewards points to donate to the CDC Foundation to help battle COVID-19. Now, there is another way for Xbox One owners to give back.

As noted in a post on Xbox Wire, there are two other global organizations that Xbox One owners can donate their Microsoft Rewards points to help fight COVID-19; the United Nations Foundation (UNF) and GlobalGiving. Microsoft will match donations of your Microsoft Rewards one-to-one; 1,000 Microsoft Rewards is equal to $1 donated.

Xbox One owners can earn Microsoft Rewards points by playing games, renting and buying TV shows and movies in the Microsoft Store, and completing Xbox game quests via the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox One. In addition, Minecraft has a similar partnership with the United Nations to share helpful information from the World Health Organization (WHO) about proper handwashing to combat COVID-19.

If you are not already a member of Microsoft Rewards, you can sign up for free through the Microsoft Rewards app on your Xbox One console, or by using microsoftrewards.com.
