Since Microsoft debuted Sea of Thieves on Steam on June 3rd, players have spent more than 3.5 million hours of in-game. As noted in a post on Xbox Wire, Sea of Thieves broke into the top 20 most played games by concurrent player count and become the number one bestselling game on the day of its release on Steam.

The Steam community represents 149 different countries and features players playing games cross-platform on Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and the Microsoft Store. Rare, the game developer behind Sea of Thieves is offering newbie pirates a “Sea of Thieves New Player Guide,” download the PDF here.

The Sea of Thieves New Player Guide gives new players a new resource to get ready to ride the high seas and be better prepared to live their best pirate life. The Player Guide is designed to provide the best tips on how to find new crewmates and get the most treasure and points from your voyages.

In addition, new players can take part in the “Maiden Voyage,” a tutorial experience of all things Sea of Thieves. Maiden Voyage is a separate game mode from Adventure and Arena modes and gives new players a good basis on how to best navigate Sea of Thieves.

Check out Sea of Thieves on Steam, in the Microsoft Store, or join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and play Sea of Thieves for free on Xbox One or Windows 10 as part of your subscription.
