The popular Russian maps app, Yandex.Maps has just received a massive update which further optimizes it for Windows 10 devices. Here are all of its features added to the new version:
Use the app on any device with Windows 10: from computers to smartphones. Navigate your world with new features. Explore vector maps that take up far less space on your device. Rotate the map and change the angle of perspective (try swiping up the screen with two fingers).
Apply filters to refine your searches. Save places and addresses to your Yandex account. Make lists of favorite places and view them from any computer, tablet, or smartphone. Search for and save places, look up addresses, phones, and other business directory information even without an internet connection. Just download a map of the region beforehand, and enjoy offline access to the information you need.
Many changes have been made to the directions feature. Get multiple options for both driving directions and public transit (including commuter trains). Stay on track as Maps guides you on your way and tracks the bus or tram you need in real time. And if you just want to stroll to your destination, use Maps to set up a walking route.
Yandex.Maps is very similar to other map apps wherein it combines traditional map visuals with public transport information, walking directions, and personalized saved locations.
